Well, it's been quite a while since I've posted in this not so sacred encyclopedia of thoughts and bambuzzling ideas of mine. I feel like I have a problem with becoming distracted from projects that I begin. The novelty of a new blog or a blank canvas or even a new pair of shoes lasts only so long as my fickle love for new 'things' has always been something that I've been not so ashamed to admit to. However, a girl grows and with that realizes her own faults and this fickle passion is a problem of mine.
Why?
Because I never get anything done.
Dozens of half finished illustrations and necklaces or dolls missing buttons or toggle fascinators are hidden under the mountain range of lace underwear and adult sized onsie pajamas. The sad looks of half painted projects and books yet to be finished peek out through the dust and piles of new bought treasures found for a quarter at the not so local dirt mall (fancy name for a large yard sale).
I look around my room, single now, and searching for a purpose to my time spent away from text books and mediocre conversations with my peers. Why have I not finished these beautiful projects? They are all such good ideas! Parts of my emotion, my mind, and alot of my damned worth it time was put into all of these, and I am obligated by my guilt to finish them.
So, this blog has become another one of these projects in which I feel I need to buckle down and commit to. Commitment not being my strong point, I will apologize ahead of time for anyone (though I doubt it) who really checks in on this little cubby hole of mine. I promise I'll try to fill the empty dusty spaces of my shadowbox and be sure to share the treasures I complete within this little blurble you're reading now. <3
Much love and hope to see you soon.
Krys.

Welcome Home
After approximately two weeks in Louisiana, I have finally made it back home safely to Georgia. Visiting family was nice and being so far from my home was a nice change of pace. It wasn't the best of family visits as with all families, my family's own disfunctional state tends to be cause for drama. However, there were those few who it was wonderful to see and wonderful to meet.
Spending time with my grandmother, as always, is a complete blessing. She is a beautifully strong woman putting up with what she puts up with and I just can't imagine being as old as she is and still running around constantly every single day. I do worry about her running herself into the ground, but it is still nice to see an older woman such as herself still strong and holding up her own. Just as well it was a delight to meet two of my grandmother's oldest friends from back in the seventies. Oh the stories they told were wonderful and their company was a delight.
Still, I have been pining for my own home and room and my own things for at least half of the time I was gone. However, now that I'm back home, amongst my clothes and my jewelry and my dog and my boyfriend, I have no idea what to do with myself.
Here I am blogging about not knowing what to do as a mere measure of putting off actually deciding what it is I should be doing. Working on my drawings? Working on some jewelry? Cleaning my room? Doing some much needed laundry?
I think instead, I'm going to sit here and wait for my mother to finish cooking biscuits.
It's good to be home.

100 Things - Part One
Running across various blogs on the internet, I found a challenge by a fantastic blogger, http://www.sofiasjournal.com/. She created a nifty little project of optimism, meditation, and self realization. She challenged herself to identify 100 things that make her happy in hopes to view things in a less negative light. At the end of her challenge, she challenged other bloggers to find 100 things that make them happy and possibly even come up with 100 things that make them unhappy.
I found this to be an amazing idea. This world is such a negative environtment in which a fog of bitterness constantly hinders most people from seeing and doing what truly makes them happy. I think this a very great means of self realization and I encourage anyone out there to do the same and see what you come up with.
Anywho, here is the first part of my 100 Things list.
